PhotoHunt theme: "Surprise!" / Överraskning!

The sign says: "In this churchyard lies the remains of the farmer Jon Andersson from Kåfverö in Å parish. He was widely known as the oldest man who ever lived in Sweden, being 147 years and two months at his death on 18th April 1729. He was born on 15th February 1582. May he rest in peace."
That was not what we expected to find on our Sunday-outing.

We are too! My two-legged Daddy doesn't think that it can be true. He thinks that the church books that recorded his birth must be wrong or something. It is really hard to tell about things like that when you want to research someone's life before the 17th century in Sweden. Alot of records got distroyed during the Reformation. The Catholic Church had records that disappeared. Then the Lutheran Church took over it was very careful to record everything about everyone! So you can find out alot about people's background until the middle of th 1600's.
I wish we cats could go back and read about our ancesters. Wouldn't it be fun to know when we left Egypt?!
